First steps.
Over the years there have been many emulators for the Amiga.
This site currently deals with the last two good emulators written for the Amiga, Fusion and Shapeshifter. We offer a good comprehensive guide to getting these two emulators up and running.
From where and what to downloads, to easy walk through guides designed to ease the pain of setting up Mac emulation.
roms
In either case you are going to need a *mac rom, before you can get started emulating an Apple mac. These can be downloaded from various website dotted about the internet, please see the
Links page for information as to where you can obtain a file based version.
Note that if you have an 040 or 060 Amiga you will need an 040 mac rom, as it won't work otherwise.
The Operating System
Once you have obtained your mac rom, and installed it on to your preferred emulator. You are going to need an operating system in order to get that mac up and running. Luckily Apple freely released all
their classic operating systems up to version 7.5.5 years ago. Links to these and updates, can be found on our. Links page
The Future.
We will cover any future PPC Apple emulators as and when they appear, so please visit us every now and then.
*Mac Roms are similar to Amiga Roms, like the Amiga Roms, you are not allowed to have copies of the mac rom unless you physically have a mac rom.
