Requirements
So What do you need to Emulate a Classic Mac?

1: Amiga Computer: Minimum Spec: 8MB of RAM, a 68020 or better processor, Amiga OS 2 or better, 50MB or more Hard Disk Space
2: Amiga Computer. Recommended: GFX Card or Graffitti Card, 060 Processor, 64mb+ Ram, 1Gb free Hard Disk Space

Before you even download your emulator of choice, ensure that you have enough disk space available for the emulation. There are several ways to consider organising your hard drive or Hard Drives for Mac Emulation use...
  • Hardfiles.
Hardfiles are handy, you don`t need to partition or re-format any hard disks, all you do is tell fusion or Basilisk the size of the hardfile in megabytes and it creates one. The minimum you will need is at least 50mb of disk space, that will give you enough room for the System files plus a couple of apps and games if you are lucky. Be warned that hardfiles are much slower in use.
  • Partitions
Dedicated Partitions are much faster, but be warned! If your Mac suffers a fatal crash whilst you are using Fusion, other adjoining partitions can be affected/destroyed and you could lose them altogether! It is strongly advised that you back up anything important before commencing, The next option is strongly recommended, or the use of another emulator program!
  • Dedicated Second Hard Disk
Use a seperate hard disk, for example, using a smaller hard drive partition as follows; (Suggestion only)

    1: Mac System Partition (110mb)
    2: Mac Apps partiton (250mb)
    3: Mac Games Partition (640mb)
    - All in all Set aside 1Gb or more . it`s worth it, should one Mac partition go awol, not everything will have been lost.
