Mac HD Setup
The First time you run Fusion Shapeshifter or you will need a bootable file, if you intend to use hard drive partitions, should you not have a Mac OS CD, or a Bootable Hardfile, You`ll need to get one from somewhere. (See Links) for a link to a very basic mac bootable hardfile. Once you have booted to MacOS you will be presented with the options to format your Hard Drives. Take the opportunity to do so. Ensure that you format each hard drive and that they are split into partitions. Why Partition? Well like your Amiga it`s easier to keep things tidy and of course, if one partion goes awol, you haven`t lost everything.

Tip: Naming your Mac Partitions
Decide from the off which drive you are going to use for transferring files from the Mac side to the Amiga side. For example in Fusion pressing L-Amiga and M switches screens, back to the Amiga side. Once back on the Amiga side there is a little pop up program on fusion, that amongst other things allows you to mount one of your mac drives over on the Amiga side This has the effect of another hard drive icon popping up on your workbench. Note avoid naming Mac Partitions the same as your Amiga Partitions, such as Applications or Games. as it will clash with the Amiga`s own partitions.
Once you have formatted All your Mac partitions, then you can proceed with installing MacOS on your System partition. Be aware that when installing Mac OS under Amiga Emulation, Do not choose Easy install, instead select custom, and select "Install for any Mac" or "Universal Mac".
Whilst you are ticking boxes, ensure that under "Extensions", you remove Arose. and any PowerPC Extensions mentioned therein and in Control panel. If the mac crashes after boot up. Re-boot, wait until mac disk icon appears then immediately press shift, before mac dialogue box opens, this will disable the extensions on boot up.
